IR sent by (AC)
Screen: Room Devices — air conditioner card, System = IR.
What it is
Chooses what sends the AC's IR: a Global Caché unit, or a Crestron processor.
What to enter
Pick the Global Caché unit or the Crestron processor the IR emitter is wired to, or + New Global Caché unit… to add one.
What it changes
In the house: Saved at once. If the AC already has codes, changing between Global Caché and Crestron asks first: This clears N learned codes on AC. Switch the IR sender? A Global Caché code and a Crestron join are not the same thing, so OK clears the codes. Cancel keeps the codes and the sender. At the next Save & Deploy the hub sends this AC's IR through the chosen sender.
In the app: The AC tile shows what was last sent, never a reading (an IR AC never answers). With Crestron, Reports room temperature? appears.
If it goes wrong
- An AC with no code at all is not sent to the hub and does not appear in the app.
- Pressed OK by mistake: the codes are gone. Learn or type them again.
