Press join (Crestron scene)
Screen: Room Devices (step 5 of 7) — Scenes card, under a Crestron scene.
What it is
The press join d box under a scene that runs on Crestron. It is the digital join the processor watches to run its scene.
What to enter
A whole number above 0: the digital join the SIMPL program uses for this scene. 0 is refused. Leave it empty only while you do not know it yet.
What it changes
In the house: At the next Save & Deploy the hub listens to this join and pulses it when the scene is pressed. If the join is already used by another device, a box warns you first.
In the app: The scene button sends this join. With no join the button shows but says the scene isn't connected.
If it goes wrong
- Red box: the number is not a usable join, or 0. Type the join from the SIMPL program.
- A scene with no join is named on Save and stops Save & Deploy while a Crestron processor has an address.
- The wrong number runs something else on the processor. Check it with the SIMPL programmer.
