Door name

What it is

The door's name, for example Main Gate. It is what the phones show when the bell rings.

What to enter

Type the name. The box title changes as you type.

What it changes

In the house: Nothing changes until you press Done in the box and then Save & Deploy. Then the hub gets the door with its new value. The hub uses the name in its door log.

In the app: After Save & Deploy, the phones show the door and its bell by this name.

If it goes wrong

• Done with an empty name says Give the door its name — it is what the phones show when the bell rings. and does not save.
• Renaming a door does not change its bell address. The address uses a fixed id that is given once.
