Top-level room / Under …

Screen: Room Devices (step 5 of 7) — the top line.

What it is

The main-room choice. Top-level room makes this a main room. Under … makes it a sub-room of another room on the same floor.

What to enter

Pick Top-level room, or Under and the main room. The room moves under its main room in the list.

What it changes

In the house: The project saves by itself. The hub does not use the main-room link. The room and its devices work the same either way.

In the app: At the next Save & Deploy, the app draws the room's tile under its main room (on iPad, inside it). The Join Map lists it as sub of the main room.

If it goes wrong

• If the main room is deleted, the configurator asks first whether to Move them up to the floor or Delete them too. No sub-room is left inside a room that is gone (JOB-0357).
• A sub-room whose main room cannot be found blocks Save & Deploy until it is fixed.
