Admin (role)

Screen: Users (step 2 of 7).

What it is

One half of the Role switch on each person's card. Admin makes this person an admin.

What to enter

Click Admin to make the person an admin. The first admin in the list is the Owner.

What it changes

In the house: The hub is told the role at Save & Deploy. An admin gets every room, whatever is set on the Rooms screen. When you make someone an admin, they are also ticked into every room that is limited to some people. Connect from outside home starts On for an admin.

In the app: As the screen says: admins can accept updates and control their visible rooms. When Ask an admin to approve each new phone is on, an admin approves new phones.

If it goes wrong

• Every home needs at least one admin — the owner. shows when nobody is an admin. Make one person Admin.
• The owner always gets login codes; you cannot switch that off.
