Name (a person)

Screen: Users (step 2 of 7).

What it is

The box for a person's name. It is the first box on each person's card. The round badge on the left shows the first letters of the name.

What to enter

The person's name, as the family uses it. Any text. You can leave it empty, but then the person shows as (unnamed) in the People table.

What it changes

In the house: The name goes into the hub's settings at Save & Deploy. The hub uses it to know who each person is.

In the app: The name goes into the app page made for this home, and into the Homeowner Guide. People see it in the app.

If it goes wrong

• The name is saved as you type. If you see the old name, check you are on the right person's card.
• A change reaches the hub and the phones only after Save & Deploy on the Deploy step.
